New Aliens Queen Toy

Here is an Aliens toy a friend gave me a few months ago. It's about $130.00 at Vintage Stock or similar stores. I had to post some pics:

Pretty cool, heh? I plan to build an in-scale Power Loader with Ripley, and display them together. I have the Power Loader, but still need to actually build the dang thing....

Tres bien! Can you take a shot of the entire thing so I can see the layout?

Will do! I plan to light the top, yellow, "police siren" light (located at the top of the power loader). The machine looks to be pretty accurate, but the Ripley figure that stands inside looks crappy.

Here is a link to a guy who built the power loader and put his own sculped figure inside. He must be a master modeler and sculpt artist. (THIS IS NOT MY WORK!):

Thats a nice set, my father still has that same one in its box. Pretty sure its the Alien Queen Collectors Set or something like that. But either way is pretty cool.

I approve of the powerloader idea, would be nice if they had a Ripley/Newt set that would fit in there too.

I picked up one of those at Suncoast back when they were still in business. Not sure what I paid...I probably took one look at it and blindly handed them my credit card.

I don't remember the exact name of it, but it's a Todd McFarlane Movie Maniac. They had a full series of Aliens related figures, I think it was 5 or 6. It had the Alien3 Runner, The Resurrection Warrior, Hicks, a Giger Alien, and the deluxe Queen set.

Spawn.com used to have extensive pics, but I haven't been to the site in years, since he abandoned doing badass games and movies in favor of sports figures.

Palisades did a bunch of similarly priced statues around the same time.

Thanks for the extra history on this thing. I saw it in Burbank at a famous comic book store last year for about $130.00. I was happy to get her for free. But the power loader is out of production and I had to shell out $75 for that. It has a Ripley figure included. But she is very poorly sculpted. The power loader is a full PAINT and GLUE kit. I plan to spend my time on it. Might take me a few months, with "weathering" and all.

Oh, man, that sounds great. I found one of the old Kenner ones at a yard sale earlier in the year and snapped it right up for a few cents...still sealed in the package! But it's pretty cheesy with its machineguns and missile launcher. And it didn't come with a dude to get into it, either (Vasquez or some lookalike toy is riding it on the box).

I'd love to see some pics! Kinda cool history, and all. Not a lot of toys made from an "R" rated movie. Just shows you how wildly popular this was back in the 80's!
