Aliens vs Predator

Going to be honest here. I love the idea and I hope they make a third one. I didn't hate the first two, just wasn't a huge fan of how the Aliens were protrayed.

They kinda got it right in AvP, having an Alien able to take on a Predator, (hell 2 and win) because IMO an Alien Warrior is as strong if not stronger than a Predator. Personally the Preds got nothing on the Xenos 'cept technology, which doesn't really help.

I know the Preds have to "win" cause in this case there the "good guys" but thats a bullshit card to play. And in AvP2 a PredAlien fights a Predator (yes i know an expierenced old one) to a stalemate! Hell no, the Predalien with combined strength should have broken him into like 5 pieces.

Sorry for the ventinions, just stating facts as I see them, and how much I want to see a third one.

Okay, I agree, an Alien Warrior should be able to take on a Predator, that they are more agile, but I do not agree with them being stronger.

The whole idea of the PredAlien I personally did not like or think that it made sense.

If you want to get mad about either of the AvPs get mad about the second, since the Aliens ARE creepy, but they are like cannon fodder to the Predator and the Humans.

I have to admit the way the Celtic Predator (the second Predator in the first) died was kinda messed, and as was the way the first one died.

They portrayed the Aliens as being like there was only one smart one for every 50 of 'em, and that they needed to attack from behind in order to win (with the exception of Grid Head Alien).

Nothing in any of those movies are canon as far as I am concerned, because they were written by a hack.

In the canon established by the comics, the Aliens easily overpower Predators at close range, even from the front. But the exceptionally trained Preds become Samurai-esque and are fast enough to beat them with spears and wrist blades.

No living being should be able to engage an alien, warrior or runner It doesn't matter actually, in melee. No comment needed If It is a Giger-alien.

This applies to predators too. They are barbaric and appalling, but smaller in size and still animals. Aliens are not animals, so victory is not possible in melee.

lol Xeno RAGE!! I do have to agree with Musta and Guirec though (well I already kinda said that huh?).

The "actual" Xenomorph is what I feel was in the 3 films. They put some parts of them into the AvP, but not enough to be convincing, and like you said Pvt. Having 1 smart of the group is bull. Ex in AvpR where the Alien follows the Pred at the bottom of a bridge before knocking the Pred off.

Aliens are smart, intelligent and very cunning creatures, and considering their weapons (their entire body: but more exact the jaws, tail and claws) are all ment for close range ass whupin. Not all the Preds weapons can even stand up to the blood or biomechanical armour of the xenos.

Those movies were horrible abominations. I pray we don't get another one, because FOX will never give it a good director and writer.

The first movie was blasphemy:
Aliens already on Earth in 2004, making Ripley's mission to keep them from getting there pointless.

The second was just... awful. It was a putrid, sack of shit. It was like 90210/Dawsons' Creek with Aliens and a Predator. The Aliens looked like shit and were weak as hell (the PredAlien looked especially terrible), the acting was horrible, the script was awful... I could go on and on.



Bury them and be done with it. Never let them rise again. The AVP franchise should stay in the comics and books, but not on the big screen.

I sadly disagree, the style they wanted to go for was that the predators were stronger, faster and all the more bigger and badder.
I like aliens better then predators, but in the first AvP 3 predators killed about 300 Xenos before dying.
And no, regular xenos do not have strong armor, and use numbers to kill something.
I think the "Stalemate" for AvP 2... was perfect.

The scene in which 3 predators fight off a thousand aliens on top of a pyramid made no sense. Why would they send that many to only acquire three new hosts?

They'd send a dozen and they would wait for the Preds in the pyramid's doorways and get 'em on their way down.
