Aliens vs Predator

They were both abominations, but AvP R was entertaining as a Predator movie. Certainly on par with Predator 2.

There were no expectations for the second. The first was a massive disappointment. At least AvP R had some bloody kills and some Predator badassery.

Neither should exist, though.

Aliens are supposed to be what you hunt to "become a man", as it were. They respect them, but it's routine for all Predators to take the test. Hunting humans is an honor reserved for the best of the best.

I don't doubt that 3 Predators would stand their ground against that many aliens, I was questioning that the aliens would even attack that way. Why would they? The only time we have ever seen Aliens attack en masse is in the second film, and they still snuck into ops. They didn't come rolling in with big targets on their domes.

I dont know why they just "mass rushed" the predators. My guess is they just wanted to make the scene look epic with thousands of aliens running up a pyramid. Most people who watch the aliens movies dont think the aliens are smart, they want you to think the predators are smarter and have better weapons and aliens have numbers. Which is why I see you dont like AvP as much as the orginal aliens movies.

People just have to remember that Aliens are smart, intelligent and cunning creatures. I doubt they would have done the en masse in AvP, or even in "Aliens" rushing the smart guns. I think they just keep getting screwed over 'cause they are the "bad guys".

Maybe the Aliens evolved past us so much (perfect organism) that the way of us and Predators is too primitive?

Or I just love Aliens way to darn much.

I think you are right on the money, there.

I think there are circumstances under which a trio of Preds would be rushed by a horde like that...I recall in the second AvP novel when Machiko's clan is trying to steal a Queen they went fuckin' wild on the Preds en masse.

I love in avp:r when the predator puts of his mask off screaming for melee against that thing, and in the extended version when he arrives an enters the crashed pred ship too; when he puts on the mask of the other predator I mean. That was cool.

The facehugger scene in the forest made me lol for three days at least, what a piece of trash hahah; and when the predator comes up with that improvised plasma pistol?

The first AVP movie..., I just can't watch I. It's too quick, arcade, bad, pathetic and affected that I wish I would have never watched It. The second one had at least those badass predator moments like Guirec say, and a couple of good scenes too, like the ones I mentioned above.

I'm a big fan of predator too. There's another very good story in predator concrete jungle, I hope you all played and enjoyed It too. If not then you should.

no no requiem is worse come on; at least the cast on predator 2 is high quality; look at the drug dealers, the riots on the streets, the drug dealers, skorpion, the other Bob Marley who got his ass owned for good..., predator2 was a very good movie on par with the first, no doubt, and all the actors performed really well. Requiem comes third but on a distance.

I like the aspect of the predators being primitive beasts but at the same time very advanced. They are barbarians with high tech xD, how did they survived to that?

Note that the word primitive here can be of course debated. They are clearly many times smarter than us, just look at their toys for the hunt, their ships, etc.

Predator 2 was pretty poor, but it might excel past AvP R with its quality cast as you mentioned and 100% 90's camp.

90's camp earns a lot of cred in my book.

Never played Concrete Jungle, but just watched the entire playthrough on Youtube....not bad at all,

I found the act of playing Concrete Jungle rather painful, but it was uninspired and surely low budget. I imagine that the Assassin's Creed or Arkham teams could have taken the concept in a better direction.
