Sigourney Weaver Wants to Be in Another Alien Movie

It would be nice to see Ripley once again on the main screen. But as mentioned, it would have to be done right. With any luck there is one bouncing around in Ridley Scott's brain that he'll reveal to us @ a later time.

Need to be done slowly and carefully, another bad movie would be a massive blow to the franchise. We need more Alien movies....not this Prometheus crap. Someone (hopefully not a money grabber @ Fox) needs to get on this, it's been far too long since a nice Alien movie came out.

I know the same thing happened to Predators, but wtf?! All you have to do is look back at what made the Trilogy epic and go from there. And if the main actress wants to go back into her character, they should be jumping at the chance to get Weaver back in the seat. They know what we want...question is will we get it.

The unfortunate truth, though, is that Weaver is not getting any younger. Someone will have to take her place eventually. The problem is if the actress will be a hack, or be worthy enough to take that role?

Hmmmm unfortunate that both Newt and Ripleys daughter died, be nice to tie them into the new Ripley if possible. While I agree with you, just don't know who could do it. You think Aliens and u think of Weaver.

Granted if they could pull a new actress off and a good movie, it'd definate revive the franchise.

If Ripley's blood was on ice in Fiorina 161, so was Newt's, probably. She can be cloned just as easily...

But I don't see much potential there.

Yea, and the whole cloning thing is kinda goofy. Although Alien 4 did have its good moments. The clone room was pretty shocking. It's been awhile since I had to turn away from a scene.

Weaver can really bring good acting to an otherwise bad movie.

The whole concept that it took them 200 years to clone her was dumb, even if the ice was still around that long. We can clone a human now, pretty much.

It would have made more sense if her DNA was stored in some kind of Weyland Yutani database and that the military industrial complex that took over the universe discovered it down the line somehow.

Alien: Resurrection was just a bad movie. Sure, it had its moments, but it was just so corn-ball and cheesy most of the time. It was trying to go back to what the original Alien tried to get away from: Sci-Fi B-Movie style.

I agree that it's time for her to move on. She had her time in the sun, and maybbe she can play as a cameo and be a consultant on the film, but it is time.
