Is it an error, or have I missed something?

I watched Alien 3 recently, and noticed that at the end of the movie, Ripley falls into the lava and the chestbuster comes out of her chest as she is falling. Once I watched it, I remembered that at the start of Alien Resurrection they take the chestbuster out of her. So, now I'm thinking it could be an error. I wondered if anyone could help me on this.

it is not an error, the reason this happens is because they cloned ripley's DNA and with it the queen's DNA so that riply you see on the table isn't the original it is riply 8 (I think, havn't seen it in a while as it is the weakest movie in the series imo) another posibility is that in the directors cut on ALien 3 they dont show the alien coming out, so in that case the Dna theory could be more belivable.

Oh, I see. I understand now. Yeah, she's ripley 8, cause I remember seeing the 8 on her arm (I think it's her arm). Thank you .

I didn't like it at all! I thought it was an insult to kill off hicks and newt like they did and then proceed to have ripley stranded on a planet with no guns! I can get over no guns, but have some more action or horror in it! The worst part of that movie is that I didn't get to know the characters at all! You basically knew about 5 people and what they were like and everyone else was there just to get killed! It wasn't able to relate or get attached to any character cause I didn't get to learn the names of half of them! I thought it could have been WAY better than what we got. It sucks cause FOX just milked this franchise and produced a piss-poor movie all in the name of more money!

There was no error in alien3, you missed nothing; alien resurrection was just a joke movie. No alien fan takes A:R in serious, as It's the obvious reaction once you've watched It.

Alien3 was a wonderful film and the last good one of the franchise. I can't believe some people disliked It just because there weren't marines with pulse rifles, and even more inconceivable, because Newt and Hicks wasn't there.

Also, Fincher was brave enough to introduce a new alien breed, the most violent one, and imho the outcome was outstanding thanks to the brilliant acting of the prisoners (all of them were outstanding actors, all of them), the atmosphere, the incredibly dangerous runner, etc.

A lot of people coming from the fanbase have been more than unfair toward Fincher and his alien3 movie, and just because there wasn't more colonies, more marines, more pulse rifles, more..., for Christ sake people, If there were an alien film that should be hated by us all that is A:R, but never alien3.

I didn't mind the new alien breed and I actually liked it a little bit, but my main problem was the way they killed off newt and hicks and not getting to know the characters! The only character I remember were ripley, the doctor, the leader of the inmates, and director, and the directors assistant! The director of Alien 3 failed in my mind cause there was little to know character development and you didn't even get to know half of the characters!!! You have to admit that you knew who all of the mariens were in aliens and that you barley knew any of the inmates before they were killed off in horrible ways!
