but I can't find it anywhere other than Amazon (and I personally don't trust order-off-the-internet sites cos they usually don't showcase the condition of the item /: Does anyone know anywhere I could get it (legally, preferably)? Does it still work on 7?

I bet it does work on Windows 7. Also, try to find it on eBay or something.

Well that's good to hear but I cannot find any physical version that is not grossly overpriced for such an older game. There are pirated versions available but when I am tempted to try them they are usually gone. Besides I do not trust pirated copies of most things (adware, malware, etc). I did e-mail Valve if they were ever considering adding it to their Steam catalogue as they have Rebellion's first AvP game available. So far no answer but I should not expect any 100%. Frankly I am surprised by two things: 1) That the servers hosting the game's multiplayer is still going. 2) That Rebellion and other AvP game developers since have not taken the hint and tried to build on what made AvP 2 a success in 2001.

Thanks for the input you guys (I've been on a few and so far, this is easily the friendliest forum I've seen (: ). It really is a shame that, thanks to the licenses being all over the place, Steam won't be putting AvP2 up. Honestly, they'd make money xD.

avp2 expansion was one of the most fun mp experiences i hv ever had! i miss it =(

I'd keep and eye out @ Wal-mart, especially in the $20 and under bargin bin, I found an AvP2 Gold in one for 10 bucks

I think I have only played it once, and I liked it a lot more than the new one. If I could get ahold of one I'd would play the hell out of it.

#@$%! $31 for a PC game? There are Xbox 360 games that cost the same, that doesn't really make sense for a (relatively old) game like AvP 2
