Thanks man for introducing me to something new for this game. Of all the things to "google" I never think of trying to find new info for this game, even something small like this interview. Oh and by "new" I mean something I have not seen . . . which would probably make the Seven Wonders of the Ancient world new to me but I digress.

So nothing really new for anyone from this interview. Mr. Pitchford seems excited for it but he is the giddy CEO. I admit his enthusiasm is contagious but sadly Rebellion's for AvP was too. I hope the multiplayer features that they are excited about keeping under wraps are truly worth the anticipation. I suspect some Marines vs Aliens action but I might be wrong. In the actual campaign you and your mates will face some of Weyland-Yutani's henchmen too, so that could be an opposing side in an objective style multiplayer game (with the xeno's being an additional obstacle). That idea would be easier to implement and control for the player but would likely disappoint. It seems more likely they will go with the usual marines v.s. xeno route. We can only hope it is a little more inspired then what has come before or at least is fun.

P.S. Yeah I am Mr. Optimism huh?

Guirec is just a Grunt (no offence)
I know I'm in the minority, but I had huge fun with AvP 2010 for about a month after launch. Got all the achievements and everything, played a real mean solo Alien.

As I don't really care about MP in general, I don't have discerning tastes in these things, but if it were only vaguely improved on AvP's game I wouldn't mind...surely they have to add a bit more wrinkles to the fold for it to be really meaty, and thye have to ditch that melee that the Marines had. That was bullshit.

I could see it being very similar to Left 4 Dead's versus, actually. Lots of AI drones keeping the opposing team busy while you plan surgical strikes with you and your team.

Oh, and of course, much faster matchmaking.

I'm hoping they use Left4Dead's style as well. Where they have a few missions where you have to get to a safe house while being hunted by AI Drones and Human Warriors/Crushers/etc. They haven't talked about MP much. Hopefully we see at this year's E3.
