Aliens colonial marines delayed to fall

As the title implies, i just saw a vid on youtube that confirms the game ha been pushed back to fall, what are your thoughts. I'm pissed, but I'm hoping for some great polish please no DNF all over again

Development hell. This is the ....*th proof of that. I know some people working in development studios and programmers in general and they all have told me at least once that, when this kind of things happen, nothing good can be expected. Now add to this last new delay all the media blackout since, not only 2006 but also the original release date back in 2002...

Must be horrible working with Sega and Fox, or who knows the actual truth..., maybe GB have some responsability too eventually, not just those two.

In my experience, delays intended to polish or add content are always worthwhile.

I'm afraid they are doing it just to try and sell well in the Fall, like Borderlands did in '09, and I don't think it's a wise move. I still say August is their best bet.

yeah, I'm sure all Duke Nukem fans share that point of view, and perhaps we the ones waiting for ACM will agree with that too soon enough...

Duke Nukem is a bit of an exception to every rule. I wasn't personally waiting for it, so I didn't consider it when I made the statement.

I think what we are talking about there is a delay to completely re-tool a game...which is a toss-up. I'm just talking about under a year long delays for extra polish or testing.

I think Guirec has a point, I mean... I for one would rather wait a few more months (what is that to over a decade anyway?) to give them a chance to iron out any wrinkles since we last saw it in last year's E3. Anyone remember the sound effects? xD ... I rest my case.
