I don't think It will come to that, but there were definitely many things that needed a lot of improvement according to what we saw in the walkthrough. One of those things very well could be what notbadforahuman was talking about the sound. Looked like a pre-alpha build to me. I think It was just that, but enough to worry me.

Btw the game is on Steam already. Are you guys gonna pre-order this as soon as It becomes available?, I'll do just like I did with avp2010 (hope the game doesn't end up being anything like that). I mean I hope all old and new posters in this forum end up playing all together after all these years of just talking and specualting about the game rather than playing It. Post your steam ID's If you were down to something like that when the time comes. I have Mother and a couple of others from avp2010.

I'll admit, the gun sounds did piss me off, and the Aliens were too small for my taste. You're probably right that it was a much earlier build. It was all a bit too... scripted.

Also, I actually plan on buying it for the 360. I've got Stam, but I'm mostly a console gamer.

I'm debating about pre-ordering it, more so just for the fact that I don't know where I'll be when its released. If I can confirm my going to be at homeness, then its a definate yes.
The wait grows, but I'm sure our patience will pay off with a gem of a game of which we will all be proud.

I'm sure that if Gearbox puts this games "boots on the ground" before it was ready, we'd all boot their asses back to the studio and make them finish it. But they had better stick with their fall release date, if they push it back into the holiday season they will be facing off against one hell of a juggernaut that will rob them of critical sales: Halo 4 :O

All I can say is:

AvP was rushed. It could have alot better gameplay and story, but it was rushed. I can wait until Winter for this game if I have to.

Make it a great game for years to come.

I'd rather wait just based on the competition. Resident Evil 6, Bioshock Infinite, Assassins Creed 3, and Halo 4 are all coming out around this game's projected date, and there's no way I'm buying that many games this Fall.

As it stands, I'll be skipping RE6 and Bioshock to get AC and Halo for the time being. Mix in ACM and it becomes more difficult.
