I put my foot down at $150. There's only one collector's edition that I've regretted buying, and that was Reach's Legendary edition, the statue is now collecting dust in my closest (hate Reach on a personal level as a fan of the old games, but that's a different story). However, those like Gears of War 3 Epic, ME:2 Collector's Edition, I don't regret. It's all about what they put in. But if it's over $150, no.

I actually have a hard time expecting them to make one over 100 bucks. Those types of super limited editions are sold completely via pre-order, and there just isn't enough hype for this to justify it for the publisher, I'm assuming.

Something like the AvP2010 80 dollar edition is more reasonable, and even more reasonable still it that they may just not make one at all.

GB made one for Duke, though. Anything's possible.

I'd have to agree with you guys @ the $150 limit (what I paid for GoW Epic Edition), but it would also depend on what goes in it. I can easily see a statue of some sort, development books, maybe a Limited Edition controller with artwork on it. Heck maybe a Facehugger in a stasis tube! As well I'm sure we'd get bonus maps/character skins.

If they partnered with Sideshow collectibles for a REALLY nice mini-statue, i might budge off of 150 dollars, because then I would at least feel like it was two separate purchases. They make incredible work.

If there's a detailed statue of the Alien Queen, then yes to the $150. I'll shove my money in Gearbox's pockets myself.

But it should also come with some in-game stuff and a lot of out-game stuff (the statue included). If Duke got CE, surely Aliens deserves one!

The McFarlane deluxe is probably a collectible by now, and I feel like it was a bit pricey when I bought it right after it shipped in '03 or whenever.

The other one is a Palisades Queen bust, which was quite nicely priced (under a hundred if I remember correctly) and might be easier to stomache for the wallet. It's really great looking.
