Especially since prefabricated shake-and-bake rush jobs would certainly be less hardy than most construction...

Betcha there is some secret bullshit WY lab underground. That would be a MacGuffin worthy of Paul Anderson.

I would only buy it if they set it up after the initial blast, but I think the rescue team is coming too soon for that.

Why would the company send Newt's parents to the site if they had this research station? And even something like that would still be within the blast radius if it was a reasonable hike from either Hadley's Hope or the jockey's ship...
