No split screen?!

I read somewhere that there'll be absolutely no local co-op. Is there any official word on this horrendous finding? D:

Well I have three sources that say there will be split screen co-op.
Aliens: Colonial Marines - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Aliens: Colonial Marines (video game)
Aliens: Colonial Marines FAQ < [READ THIS FIRST] - Gearbox Software Forums
I honestly wouldn't enjoy split screen as it would kill the atmosphere/mood of the game but it's still nic to have it.

Thanks a lot man. I see your point of view as well (especially if they do that split where the two screens try to preserve the aspect ratio and you get all that unused space and tinier than normal screens). But there are still some, such as myself, who - ever since Goldeneye - like a little screen-watching action aha.

I'm hoping for the best, mate - great off and online co-op (gotta love the choice!)

Guirec is just a Grunt (no offence)
Borderlands had it, I should hope it's in there. I would have played way more AvP survival if my woman could have joined me.

Without a doubt, in these type of games the local co-op kind of ruins the atmosphere a bit but it's better than nothing and at the end of the day, you're playing it to have fun so if a buddy can join-in, that's mission accomplished in my book. And if the game lives up to the hype, the atmosphere should still be engaging even in a tiny screen

Well my girlfriend wants to join me so you need the splitscreen for that... I have to say immersion or not, sometimes online co-op can be a risk when it comes to connection loss and lag (THAT's an immersion breaker imo xD)
