If Drake can carry a flame unit and a Smart Gun, I can to.
But the canon arsenal is already pretty basic, even including stuff added in the 2010 AvP. |

As long as it makes sense from a realistic point of view or it's part of canon I'm perfectly fine with it. In fact, it would bother me if the opposite happened. Carrying shitloads of weapons or equipment and having quasi-infinite ammunition would only serve to ruin the atmosphere. I want to be scared, I want to panic because I'm running out of rifle rounds or I lost my weapon in a previous engagement with an alien.

Yeah I don't want to be too restricted but don't what the suspense to run out either as when it gets to the point where you can just go Rambo on everyone without thinking about the consequences of low ammo or weapon priority, you're basically playing a mindless shooter. I'd like it to retain the "Dead Space" effect.

No It wouldn't bother me by any means. Each marine class should have Its main weapon and a pistol only, then nades etc. A hicks-like class could have an alternate weapon slot or something like that, being this weapon his shotgun of course.
I would like to see a nerf on classes like the SG when they switch to pistol by the way, I mean the switching to their pistols a lot slower than the other less heavy classes. Note that the flamethrower should be consider a heavy weapon as well, even when the film kinda gave us the impression of It being a light one. Last edited by Mustafuck; 08-20-2011 at 11:14 AM. |

No doubt Ripley would like to be able to gaffer-tape a Pulse Rifle and Flame Unit together.

Chances are high that in the game at some moment with are using that characteristic weapon loadout as one more tie in to the movie, like the many ones we are seeing

Just for the atmosphere I'd like to see weapons limited either type of character or for everyone up to three weapons (Primary weapon like pulse rifle/smart, secondary as shotgun/flame thrower and small arms like pistols and grenades).
I mean, if you could carry around whole military base arsenal would simply destroy the atmosphere. When you have very limited weapons carried by you, you'd start to panic seeing that you're running out of primary weapon ammo and knowing that pistol is just as useful at aliens as harsh language - that would make me think twice before shooting random things at random amounts just for the lolz. |

i think we should only be aloud 2 weapons,main weapon being
ulse rifle,flamethrower,smart gun, and secondary weapons including istol (duh),shotgun,or grenades,and we should have as much ammo as we had in dead space,because that would make ecounters with aliens even more frightening knowing you only have 50 rounds left or somethin like that
