Lance Henriksen to Feature in ACM

On June 11, 2011 Gearbox Software had a Community Day for fans. The studio confirmed at the event that actor Lance Henriksen (Aliens, Alien 3, AvP, AvP 2010) is one of the guest stars set to lend his voice for the upcoming Aliens: Colonial Marines videogame. He will be playing Rook, a Weyland-Yutani synthetic.

“The synthetics manufactured by Weyland-Yutani all look the same, and so Lance [Henriksen] is involved. There’s a synthetic named Rook that has the same likeness as Lance, and the same voice. He’s Bishop from the movie.” – Randy Pitchford

Other guest appearances include William Hope (Aliens), who will be portraying Commander T. Shannon in the game. You can listen to a full recording of the panel and presentation here.

To me Lance was pretty much a given but, Bill Hope now it could get interesting.

William Hope is an interesting addition, especially since his character died on Hadley's Hope. Still enough time has passed IRL and I think he is a good enough actor to portray a different character. Glad to hear a synthetic is appearing in the game, especially another "Bishop". I just hope though that he has a somewhat different look and/or personality then Bishop.

P.S. Synthetics continuing the chess motif?

I'd imagine they'd all have the same look, personality. A bit like all versions on Windows 7 have the same look and personality.

Fingers crossed that he is dead. We shouldn't find even a single logo of his because he got abducted fast. Hudson might be for example that marine we see abducted and already dead in the E3 trailer.

You are right...but it would be kind of cool if there was some kind of audio log or something from moments where he was off camera. I dunno. They would have to do it right, and that would be delicate.

well the point is, what could a fragile marine like Hudson (in terms of morale resistance) and bound to collapse in any moment say in a recording?, "game over man game over, we are all going to die here!"

Any Bishop's log he may have had at the laboratory while analyzing the facehugger will be waay way more interesting than listening to hudson.

An audio log made by Gorman could be interesting too. His voice is being used for one of the marines I think, so who knows.

Perhaps, but horror games can aptly use the freaking out character's logs at least a couple of times...lest we forget the "Itchy. Tasty." diary from Resident Evil.
