Character Customization

Hey guys! Sorry haven't been around for a while, but whatcha gonna do when u gotta work right? Anywho, just read about the game on Sega's site ( ya been a LONG while) and the highlights all caught my eye. So here a topic for discussion: What do u want to see in the customization?

Now yes we did touch on this, I believe in Musta's multiplayer ideas, but heres a spot to shoot it out.

I'm guessing the system will be similar to Modern Warfare with a cross of Army of Two. Though what weapons we can unlock while staying true to the series does worry me. Knowing myself i'll prolly keep the trusty pulse rifle for sure, but i'll keep an open mind for the new stuff.

The perk idea sounds like a double edged sword: Be cool and (hopefully) helpful, but at the same time, we're just Marines right? To the best of my knowledge nobody has anything special about them in the "Aliens" universe.

Ideas for perks: acid resistance is prolly once, body armour, flashlight maybe. Increased welding/hacking speed would also be a nice addition, increased sprint time i can see as well.

Being we also get to get "new looks for the squad" i hoping that means we get to tinker with our individual players and hopefully armour customization with the ability to throw on "quotes"

Character Customization would be an excellent addition, but depending on how much value it adds to the game, it's unlikely we'll see it.

Well I am fine with customization when it comes to armour and stuff like that, but I don't wanna entirely change the character to different characteristics like eye color and hair color. Just keep it plain and simple!

I feel specialer for it being in my thread :P Lol, true it would be nice, but I wouldn't want them to delay it longer making it, or pulling away from the reality of the Aliens universe, but i'll admit making a Marine looking like me would be awesome

Just joined up! I've been waiting on this since the ps2 flop ): On topic, I'd be totally satisfied with the just the quotes (even little emblems like the one on Hicks' Chestplate)... again though, I think its all purely wishful thinking like Mother said - except for multiplayer, what could that add to core gameplay, you know?

Welcome to the site! Probably wouldn't add anything to gameplay excpet making the character more "you"

If a game had a good story to it then customisation kinda goes out the window. Would you appreciate being able to customise Gordon Freeman?
