Character Customization

Character customization has always been an aspect that I look for in a game. While a lot of players just want to jump right into the action, I prefer to add a personal touch. Even if I wouldn't see it personally, to have the choice of wearing this piece of armor or not would be a little intriguing. And agreeing with bughunter, custom engravings on weapons and or armor would be a plus.

I'd like that. Sure, it wouldn't "add to gameplay", but would be a neat little addition. Maybe you can choose from pre-set models? Or make the character customization pretty simple?

A prime example of character customization is easily the Rainbow Six: Vegas series. New items are unlocked as you progress through the ranking system. However, I doubt there will be much customization in the final version, as there really isn't much to modify as keeping with the original armor and firearms is key. Yet it would be a touch to choose what your character wears.

customization should be there but to a realistic minimum that would keep it true to the franchise. The marines all had a standard amount of equipment which had little personal touches. Remember from the movie it was only Vasquez and DRake who apparently had their own personal weapons as the Smart would have to be fitted for the person while the flame units and Pulse rifles where just grabbed from the rack.
