A gigeralien beign the final boss would be epic and original.
I'd use the queen and a retinue of DRONES (not warriors) as a boss before we are done with the colony, but we should have completed around 85% of the game by then, because imo the new colony should be the main location in the game, an 80-85% of all data contained in the disc I mean. These two would be the main final bosses, though I'd like to use some more in the earlier-medium stages of the game, something like a particularly vicious alien warrior, smarter than the others, an unusually big in size and deadly alien runner, a praetorian, etc, all of them appearing in some certain locations at the colony. Of course nothing about jokey aliens and such ; apparently, the DS version of CM dare do that

I would like to see a three part final boss kinda similar to the ending of Aliens! I think you should start and make your way into the nest and then fight part of the queen, then, over the course of the battle, the area becomes unstable, so you have to escape! Then the alien queen hunts you down and start the second portion of the battle and, once again, the area becomes unstable, so you have to escape. Once you think you ahve got away, you then have to fight the alien queen when she is angriest and must finish her off!

I'd like a really matured "Veteran" Scout Xeno. So basically what we see in ALIEN only with the aged/Veteran exoskeleton a ridged head and standing about 9-10 feet. Maybe visually you can tell that it is slowly developing into a Praetorian (I'm am assuming here that we have killed the Queen)

I actually would like to see something similar to what Musta mentioned. The giant Queen has been overdone for a final boss in numerous Aliens or AVP genre games. Perhaps either a new Alien of some sort ambushing you and your squad near the end when you think you have finished the game, a startling encounter ala Ripley and the Xeno at the end of ALIEN (albeit without singing "You Are My Lucky Star"
). Since this is a squad based game it would be good if you had to use your squad and work as a team in order to defeat the final boss.

I really like Mustaf--k's idea of the original "Kane's Son" alien being the final boss. It could explain why it was so much stronger than the other Aliens. Perhaps it was a Praetorian and was protecting the Queen Egg?

There would be mini-encounters with the giger-alien in some certain levels, and at least 4 bosses, a vicious veteran warrior, a "superior" alien runner (animal storage level), a praetorian, and before leaving the colony a queen with Its retinue of drones (classic). There should be around 10 different sectors, all of them huge and dark. God bless DOOM3, because this would be something similar to the structure of the levels of the UAC base. -10% The Acheron Landscape, a travel to the laboratory built upon the Derelict (a laboratory built upon the Derelict like in AVP'99). Half of the level aboard an APC using the autocannon to kill warriors (pure fun), and the other half on foot till you make for the ship. This stage would be taking place at night, with the gigantic gas planet above, covering almost the whole sky of the little Acheron moon. BTW, why wasn't the planet there in the movies?, the gigant planet was missing on the Acheron's sky in both "alien" and "aliens" movies ![]() -10% The laboratory built upon the Derelict. It was here that the scientifics were experimenting on the new born giger-alien and the praetorian to uncover their secrets just five days before your arrival. It was here that the praetorian scaped before It arrived at the colony and molted into the queen you fight in the last colony level. The incident started right here. The giger-alien should be at the last stages of Its life right now according to some important data you obtain from a computer. Will It be dead already?, your last encounter with the creature was around 60% of the colony levels, and you haven't had another contact with It since then... -5% CM mothership. You think that the nightmare has come to an end and that you are finally safe, but you are very much mistaken, as you will find out soon. An unexpected guest managed to get his indestructible xeno ass into the rescue dropship, and going unnoticed to you and the pilot has made It aboard mothership. Now It's there in some dark corner, hidden, observing you .It's come to play Its last twisted game. This is the final shodown. Throw It into space, or meet your death against the perfect organism, an inevitable death that comes to all those who fight the aliens, because in the end, you are going to die. (there would be two different endings, the alternate and unreal happy ending, and then the other ending, the inevitable one) That would be my ideal aliens colonial marines game/story. I particularly like the fact that thanks to an idea like this, we could finally make a perfect union between all movies/canons, and all of this taking place at our favourite location, the colony, since the game is obviously focused on the second film. not bad..... not bad at all! I like most of your ideas and, although I have some of my own hat I would like to see, you have a very well thought out game! Keep it up and maybe, if they make a sequel, they migh incorporate you ideas in!
