Custom motifs
Here's an idea. If anyone has played any Source Engine game you'll have seen the custom designs that players can use to "spray" on the walls and other scenery to show they have been there.

As the marines are known to decorate their armour, would it not be a cool feature if you could use a custom designed decal/motif on your armour?

...and if you could, what would it be?

Actually I,m not very good at painting, so I,d just write one explicit thing on my armor:

"Soy Rambo, y os voy a matar a todos"

Not sure If this would be intimidating enough to the aliens anyway
