There're new rumours about Prometheus; apparently It is going to be definitely based on the aliens universe and not a Scott's side project like he implied in their latest inteviews. Everything is pointing in that direction, and It looks this time is true.

yes the CGI effects for the runner sucked indeed, but the scenes where the runner is a puppet and a man in a suit are of a very very high level of quality, making the runner a very very very scary creature on the screen.

Man in a suit is the way to go; CGI aliens don't even scare you and are too artificial. This could also help to reduce the so so abused crawl/walking abilities of the human born alien that Cameron sadly introduced, making the human born alien feel even less scary and less human-like.

I have liked Tron Legacy actually; i think the original film was 17357434 times more beautiful and original for Its time, but the new one is ok. I just dislike the new "wear" style when inside the Grid (old style at least made sense with the circuits), and again the abuse of the Matrix-like movements on the Disc Wars, specially for Rinzler, the now corrupted Tron. The old Deathmatches with the disc in the old movie were better imo, and more beautiful.

Also, you sure the young version of Jeff Bridges is CGI?, with a hair cut combined with a yellow overtone to match his old hairstyle, and then good shave off you have Jeff Bridges looking like that exactly.

Even Bruce Boxleitner (Alan Bradley/Tron) plays again the role of Tron in CLU'S betrayal scene. Yes It is him, just another hair cut with the 80 style he had, some heavy makeup to disguise the so noticeable lines due to age when he plays the role of Bradley, and there you have It, no CGI, just Bruce.

Classic scenes like the old one when Tron rises his disc in order to contact his programmer (Alan 1, Bradley) (like If his were a man talking to God) are iconic, and this new one with Sam exiting the Grid with the hot hot h.., I mean with Quorra is very cool as well thanks to the music, perhaps.

Talking about Its BSO, It's pretty cool. Daft Punk = win
